Our study stay at ÚVTIP was realised in the frame of joint project "Development of Information Services for Agricultural Science and Research Using Internet and CD-ROM Technology" of Institute of Scientific and Technical Information for Agriculture ( Nitra ) and Central Scientific Agricultural Library of Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences ( Moscow ).
During two weeks we have worked in two fields: creating Web pages and working out conception of joining the information scientific and research agricultural organisations of Russian Federation associated under the Central and Eastern European IAALD Chapter with headquarters at ÚVTIP.
Specialists from Web studio helped us to create our library Home page. Using their experiences we designed the inner structure of it where the special place have information about the scientific and research agricultural network of the Russian Federation. Our task is to fully represent the activities of these institutions and overcome information isolation. We suppose that this is a perspective way of library work as a methodical centre. This work could be /how ?/ realised on the base of IAALD policy. President of IAALD Chapter for Central and Eastern Europe Michal Demes assigned Evgenija Dovator a national co-ordinator for Russian Federation. Also we discussed questions of participation in publishing of the quarterly IAALD News: Central and Eastern Europe and ways of its distribution in Russia.
