    Hello, my name is Vladimir Volak, I am Slovak and from the 1.12.1997 I have been in charge of editing, printing and distributing IAALD News magazine. For this second copy of the magazine, considering the large volume of work, the editor's office has moved into a new space we rented from Stapring building. We have been publishing IAALD News since July 1997. In 1997 we published only copy No. 1, the rest - No 2 and 3 - we published through Internet, because of economic problems.
    Thanks to the swift rise in the number of subscribers, in 1998 we plan to publish four copies of IAALD News magazine in two versions - in English and in Russian. So I would like to remind all members and non-members as well that here is their chance to spread the word about their organisations and activities. Considering the small space we have, the editor's office will pick the most interesting articles sent in. You can also take advantage of very cheap advertising rates. Your contributions and pictures can be sent to us by e-mail or snail mail. We would like you to write something about yourself, your institution (company or organization), staff, and the activities you last organised or are planning to organise. Don't forget to include your address and your phone number [e-mail].
