aref2 Among the factors defining full value of pigs' nutrition, special attention is paid to mineral nutrients. Selenium biochemical functions are determined by selenium-containing proteins including iodothyronine deiodinase which regulates thyroxin by catalytic deiodination of that hormone. The combination of iodine and selenium deficiencies may be one of the main provocative factors of hypothyroidism. Selenium deficiency causes hypothyroidism symptoms, metabolic process level decreases, and complete realization of the genetic potential performance of animals and poultry is impossible. To affect the physiological processes in young farm animal organisms is possible by correction of gastrointestinal tract's microflora. It is possible by supplementing the diets with probiotic preparations. Selenium and iodine absorption is greatly affected by p value of intestines medium regulated by the microflora. Considering an important biological role of mineral nutrients in the vital functions of animals, nitrogen, calcium and phosphorus metabolism was studied in experimental pigs. The experiment carried out with young replacement pigs revealed that supplementing the diet with 1 g of Sib-Mos PRO probiotic per 1 kg of feed and one-time 5 ml Sediminum administration per head compared to E-selen preparation administration combined with probiotic rendered positive effect on nitrogen metabolism without any negative effect on calcium and phosphorus metabolism that indicates the intensification of protein and mineral metabolism in animal organism, and, as consequence, the improvement of animal performance.
