aref2 Predatory bug Perillus bioculatus F. is one of the natural enemies of Colorado beetle Leptinotarsa decemlineata Say, however, attempts to acclimatize it in Europe did not give a positive result. Some acclimatized populations were found in the territory of the Krasnodar Krai in 2008-2009, on their basis a laboratory population was produced. The observation of the bug lasted in 2010. Its population density was 5-15 individuals/sq. m potatoes, there were 3 generations during the vegetation period. The ratio of the abundance of phenoforms with red-black, white-black and orange-black picture of the corselet was in 2010 80:17:3, in 2009 - 70:15:15. The bug Perillus bioculatus from the acclimatized population ate the Colorado beetle at every phase of its development (eggs, larvae of different age, imago). Some asynchronous behavior of developing the predator and pest was overcome by broadening the feeding base of the bug. At the studied areas no chemical treatments were conducted, however, the abundance of the pest was effectively hindered by the presence of the bug. The genetic similarity of the bug to other representatives of the Pentatomidae family was studied by exemplifying a DNA analysis of 7 bug species by the PCR method using RAPD- and ISSR-markers. As is found, the bug has the most genetic similarity (0.91-0.95) with bugs of Picromerus bidens, Arma custos, Zicrona coerulea species making up with it one subfamily Asopinae
