aref2 Twelve pregnant White Large sows were divided into 4 groups fed basic diet (I group, control), BD+refined vitamin A (II gr), BD+carotene containing preparation Betatsinol (III gr.) or BD+vitamin A + hepatoprotector (IV gr.). Preparations were fed from the 87-th day of pregnancy and during the course of lactation. Blood probes were obtained at 94-th day of pregnancy and at 35-th day of lactation. The blood level of dimalonate aldehyde in pregnant and lactating sows was high in control group and the lowest one in IV gr. (P0.01 compared with control). The activities of catalase and ceruloplasmin level were the highest in VI gr. (PO.OI compared to control).
