aref2 In the Stavropol Region the portion of soil erosion takes up to 30-40% in humus losses. To compensate for such losses, 12-14 millions of tons of manure are required yearly; however, there is a drastic shortage of this fertilizer and therefore, a search of alternative resources in the form of the sideline crop production products is highly needed. Studies evaluated organic fertilizers (manure and straw) with their application into the genetic horizons, imitating soils of various levels of erosion, and were carried out in the model experiments consisting of four following variations: control, straw, straw combined with nitrogen, and manure. It has been determined that applying of fresh organics into the humus free rock increased the humus factor up to 3 to 4 times compared to humus horizons. In the control the mineralization of soil humus was observed within the limit of 7 relative percent, but with the application of fertilizers the direction of biochemical reactions changed towards the humus growth. Manure is the most effective mean to increase soil organics, and its potency increased in a depth. At the horizon A the humus contain grew by 4% (relative), at B1 - by 10%, at B2 - by 12%, at Bc - by 27% and C - by 38% (relative). Nitrogen fixating ability increased in all levels to the level of unfertilized A with manure applying, and nitrogenase and cellulase ones increased 1.5 to 2.0 times with straw plowing. Application of organic fertilizers leads to the enrichment of the soil by N-NO3, 25, 2: manure increases the content of 25 1.5-1.9 times, 2 - 1.27-1.36 times, and the content of nitrates after 12 month of incubation in pl is approaching to that of the control, and at the horizons 1 2 it is increasing sharply. The increase in fertility of the genetic horizons under the influence of the applied fertilizers is reliably proven by the level of the produced biomass of winter wheat. As a whole, with the disruption of the vertical wholesomeness of the soil, on the weakly eroded black earths a combination of straw and nitrogen is more effective, and on the strongly eroded ones manure is more suitable.
