aref2 The purpose of the research was to study the influence of hydrogel aftereffect on the yield of oil radish, depending on the method of soil cultivation and mineral fertilizers in the zone of unstable moistening of Stavropol Krai on ordinary chernozem, middle thick, low-humic, middle loamy. The experiment included three factors. Hydrogel at the doses of 0, 100, 200, 300 and 400 kg/ha were applied in 2011 and 2012 before tillage; further its aftereffect was studied. The design of the experiment included two tillage methods: moldboard ploughing at 20-22 cm and disking at 10-12 cm. The tests were carried out against two backgrounds: unfertilized and fertilized (N60P60K60 annually) ones. In the second year after application, there was a positive effect of hydrogel on the reserves of productive moisture in oil radish crops. In the flowering phase, depending on the dose of the polymer, tillage method and fertilizer dose, they exceeded the control (without hydrogel) by 5.5-33.9 mm, or 5.7-32.1%. In four years after the use of the polymer in hydrogel variants, the value of this parameter was higher than in the control by 7.5-24.4 mm, or 7.6-25.6%, during the flowering stage. In a year after application, the yield of the green mass of oil radish significantly raised due to the hydrogel usage. An increase was from 5.5 t/ha (200 kg/ha polymer) to 14.5 t/ha (400 kg/ha polymer), or by 15.7-34.1%, LSD05 = 3.28 t/ha. In the fifth year after the application, hydrogel had a positive impact on the productivity of this crop against the fertilized background in the doses of 300 and 400 kg/ha: the increase was 4.2-8.2 t/ha, or 11.3-26.4%, LSD05 = 3.97 t/ha.
